Happy 50th Anniversary to Sa Bu Nim!
Today is the 50th Anniversary of Sa Bu Nim arriving in the United States of America.
One of the most important days in Sa Bu Nim’s life was June 25, 1974, the day he arrived in the United States of America. He was proud of his Korean heritage and equally proud of becoming a United States Citizen.
Today, let us remember, honor and celebrate and Sa Bu Nim and his legacy. We will always be grateful to Sa Bu Nim for bringing his gift of the Universal Light and Wisdom of Shim Gum Do to us.
We love you Sa Bu Nim!

We honor Shim Gum Do Founding Master Great Zen Master Chang Sik Kim who passed away three years ago, on March 12, 2021. Sa Bu Nim will always be in our hearts and minds.
Sa Bu Nim, you gave us the great Dharma of Shim Gum Do – the Mind Sword – the way of clear mind, clear thinking and clear action. We continue to keep the Universal Light of your Shim Gum Do Dharma alive. If we are clear; our clarity brings truth and brightness to all humanity. This was Sa Bu Nim’s great gift to our planet.
We are eternally grateful!

Shim Gum Do is the correct functioning of energy, attaining truth and Great Love and Great Compassion and only going straight with the Great Vow. Then you will attain the wisdom Gum, the correct emotion Gum, the correct will Gum; three mind swords. Thus, you will attain the perfection of truth, goodness, and beauty. Yours will be the world of complete peace, great brightness, and great freedom.
Today is January 1st, 2024.
What is your direction? What is it that you want?
Today it is the beginning of a new year.
Today, take the time to clear your mind and focus on your goals.
Everyday take the time for Shim Gum Do training and mind training to make a clear mind, clear thinking and clear action.
Moment by moment, only go straight toward what it is you want.
